Kingdom People in Motion (Week 1)

Preacher: Daniel Erasmus

Worship:
This week, begin your time together by listening to “Send Me” by Bethel Music. Let this song remind you that God’s love for you—and for the world—is the reason we go. Allow it to become your prayer of surrender and commissioning.

Sunday’s message set the tone for the series. What part of the message stood out or stirred something in you personally?

Synopsis of message:
This week, we launched our new series: The Kingdom in Motion – Taking Hope to the World. This message reminded us that Easter wasn’t the end—it was the beginning. We are not only saved—we are sent. God’s Kingdom is alive, advancing, and we are part of His plan to bring hope to a world in need.

But this is where it all begins: “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16) Before we are commissioned, before we carry hope, before we move—the motivation is God’s love. This is the foundation of everything.

God doesn’t just love us—He loves them, the world, the broken, the lost. And His response to a world in trouble was to send Jesus. Now, His plan is to send us. There’s no Plan B. We’ve been called, chosen, and sent to carry His hope.

Using 2 Corinthians 5:16–20, we were reminded of three things:

  1. See Others – To move in the Kingdom, we must view people not by their problems, but through God’s eyes—as image-bearers of Christ.
  2. Serve Others – Because God has reconciled us, we now carry that same ministry of reconciliation to others.
  3. Show Others – We are appointed to carry Heaven’s agenda and represent Jesus wherever we go—in our families, schools, work, and communities.

Discussion Questions:

  1. See Others: Pastor Daniel said, “When we look at people from a worldly view, we see problems. When we look through God’s eyes, we see His kids.”
    • Why do you think it’s so important that love be the starting point of our calling?
    • How easy is it for you to view others through God’s lens?
    • Is there someone in your life right now whom God is asking you to see differently?
  2. Serve Others: We are “ministers of reconciliation”—like spiritual waiters offering the invitation back to relationship with God.
    • Where in your life (your people, your place, your passion) is God asking you to serve with intentionality?
  3. Show Others: Ambassadors don’t carry their own agenda or authority—they represent the one who sent them.
    • What does it mean to you that God appointed you (John 15:16)?
    • How might that change the way you carry yourself in your daily life?
  4. Living It Out: Which of the three aspects—seeing others, serving others, or being an ambassador—do you feel most challenged to grow in this week?

Check-out:
What is one next step you can take to live more intentionally as a Kingdom Carrier this week? Take a moment to pray for each other—that God would open your eyes, strengthen your hands, and give you courage to live sent.
