Easter 2025
Worship:
As you spend time in worship, listen to the song More Than Able – Elevation Worship. Reflect on the words of the song and pray your response back to God.
Check-in:
What is something that happened during Holy Week for which you’re grateful?
Holy Week:
What a significant week as we spent time reflecting on the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus, not as a distant story, but as the centre of our faith and the reason we live For the Kingdom.
Discussion Questions:
- This Holy Week we set aside time to intentionally pray and fast as we sought God for breakthrough in our worlds. Share with the group what God did for you through this week of prayer and fasting. Has He answered a prayer that you’ve been praying? Is there something that you still trusting God for?
- On Good Friday, Pastor Stephen highlighted the two very different narratives we see from two similar men at the cross. One chose death and the other, life. The good news of Good Friday is that we get to experience the miracle of the cross because of Jesus’ sacrifice. Because of Jesus, anyone – regardless of their past, present or the “good” they’ve done – can experience the power of grace, forgiveness and the promise of eternal life. How does the miracle of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross challenge or change the way you view God’s grace and the power of forgiveness?
- Pastor Daniel concluded the Miracles series on Easter Sunday as we celebrated the ultimate miracle, the resurrection of Jesus! While he posed the question “How do I get one?”, emphasising that the key to receiving a miracle is not more faith but simply choosing to believe Jesus can. In the story on Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, we see that despite Martha’s disappointment, Thomas’ doubt and Mary’s heartbreak, their belief in Jesus’ power led to the miracle. If trust is key to seeing God move, what might it look like for you to take a step of trust this week, even in the middle of doubts, disappointments or heartbreak?
