Mother’s Day – You are more than enough!

Speaker: Daniel Erasmus

Worship: During your time with God, spend a few minutes listening to There’s nothing our God can’t do by Passion. We need just one word from Jesus who can heal what is broken, calm the storm that surrounds us and move the mountain in front of us. As you spend time reading the word, surrender to God the things that you need Jesus to speak to.

Check-In: Share your favourite meal your mother made/makes or if you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life what would it be?

Bible Readings: John 4:1-26, 39-42; Psalm 103:8-9; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 8:36

Preparation and Discussion for Group Time:

  1. Daniel shared 3 truths that Jesus shows us in John 4 as He talks with the Samaritan woman. He shows us that we are more than enough.
    1.1. He sees us,
    1.2. He knows us,
1.3. He focuses on our future, not our failure.
How do you believe God sees you? What do you believe God is saying to you from the above passages of scripture as you look at these 3 truths?
  2. Read Psalm 103:8-9, 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 8:36 again. As you read these scriptures and consider the above 3 truths – share which one/s you are struggling with in this season and why?
  3. John 4:10 – Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” We have access to living water – to the gift of a relationship with Jesus. We are called to share this truth with others as we heard Maire shared her story. Tell the group who you will share your story with this week – telling of God’s goodness and the living water that is ours when we ask.

Check out and Prayer time: Share with the group one action (practical step) you will take in the coming week to grow in your personal relationship with God and prepare your hearts as we continue our journey towards Pentecost.
Pair up and encourage one another throughout the week to grow in your daily time with God.

Love God:
For personal study, here is a suggested YouVersion and RightNow Media devotional:

Love People:

  • Share God’s love with those you have been praying for. Share with them what God has been doing in your heart and life and how much He loves us unconditionally.
  • Winter is approaching and we often buy new things or do a clean out of our cupboards. Bring your gently used clothes for UTurn and help support those in need.
  • Invite those you are praying for to a Sunday Service.
