The Good Shepherd – He Provides

Daniel Erasmus

Worship: Spend time throughout the week during your time with God listening to Jireh by Elevation Worship and Maverick City. As you spend time in worship, allow the Holy Spirit to remind you that God promises that in Him, we have all we need.

Check-In: Do you have memories of reciting Psalm 23 as you grew up?

Bible Readings: Anchor: Psalm 23 NKJV; Psalm 95:7; John 10:10-11, 14; Philippians 4:11-12; Luke 4:18; Matthew 12:20; Psalm 51:12; John 10:27; John 15:15

Preparation and Discussion for Group Time:

  1. Where did you feel God’s presence with you as Ps Daniel spoke about The Good Shepherd in Psalm 23? How have you been aware of His presence that is always with you during the week?
  2. How close are you with the Shepherd (define your relationship with Him)? Do you recognise the need to depend on Him daily? What does this look like for you or what changes do you need to make to spend more time with Him?
  3. The Good Shepherd provides for us:
    • Rest
    • Restoration
    • Paths of righteousness
  4. Ps Daniel asked the following question, “Do you know your shepherd voice well enough to be able to follow Him on the right paths?” How are you intentionally going to learn what His voice sounds like this week?

Check out and Prayer time: As you spend time praying, see how God, the Good Shepherd, desires to provide and care for you. Ask Him to show you areas of your life that are holding you back from fully receiving all He is wanting to do in your life.

Love God:
Commit to memorising Psalm 23 and thank God that He is the Good Shepherd who cares for you.
