Uncomplicated: Finances – Principle of the First

Preparation and Discussion for Group Time:
- Is God first in your life (every area, not just finances)? How do you put God first in all areas? What steps do you need to take to put Him first?
- Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of Heaven and pour out for you (so great) a blessing until there is no more room to receive it.”
What have you learnt through your faith journey when putting God first by tithing? What has God challenged you about this? - “When we give God of our first, we see how God is able to bless the rest.” How have you seen God provide for you as you have lived out this principle? What steps could you take to start putting God first (even in your finances)?
- Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
What area of your finances do you need hope in? How can we support those in our group with taking these areas?
Prayer time: Pray for the group as you commit to putting God first with your finances especially by bringing your tithe to Him. Here is the prayer we prayed together in week 1.
