Uncomplicated: Families – What to do when you’ve lost hope

Worship: Spend time throughout the week during your time with God listening to Touch of Heaven by Hillsong Worship. As you spend time in worship, be reminded that God is so worthy of our praise!

Check-In: What are you grateful for this week? What are you celebrating?

Bible Readings: Anchor: Matthew 6:33; Psalm 143:4; Psalm 13:1; John 20:13-16; Luke 24:21; Numbers 11:15-16; Psalm 119:11; 2 Chronicles 20:1-22; Joshua 23:14; 1 Peter 5:7; John 15:5-7; James 4:7; Hebrews 10:23-25; Isaiah 54:10; 2 Corinthians 11:8-9; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Romans 15:13

Preparation and Discussion for Group Time:

  1. What stood out to you from Pedro’s message on Sunday?
  2. There are many situations that could cause us to lose hope. In what ways in the past have you found yourself losing hope? How did you see God restore that hope in you again?
  3. Pedro reminded us of 3 principles that we can hold onto in the midst of situations that may challenge us, or cause us to lose hope:
    • Resolve to seek the Lord
    • Remain in God’s Word
    • Resist the enemy and stand
What is God calling you to focus on when you find yourself in situations that appear hopeless? What steps do you need to take?
  4. “Gratitude is the language of heaven”. What perspective do you need to commit to changing so that you can show gratitude/be grateful this week?

Prayer time: Do you need hope? Spend time with God and allow Him to fill you with hope from the source of all hope.

Love God:
Read Romans 15:13 and allow God to remind you that our hope is found in Him alone.
