Run Together

Week 1

Purpose: To know that we are loved by God, as the basis for loving others.

Worship: Listen to the song throughout the week or at group New Wine by Hillsong Worship. Spend time reflecting on what God is busy doing and how you can trust Him in this new season.

Check-In: Share from your daily quiet time what God has been speaking to you about.

Bible Readings: Read the following scriptures in various translations especially The Message and TPT. Ephesians 4:1-6; Psalm 133:1-3; John 17:21; Philippians 2:2; Nehemiah 2:17-18; Hebrews 12:1-3 and Genesis 11:6

Preparation and Discussion for Group Time:

  1. What did God speak to you from these verses in Ephesians and from Sunday’s message that you are challenged or encouraged by to take into your week?
  2. Allocate each of these sets of verses to group members to read and comment on what they say about running together and unity: Psalm 133:1-3; John 17:21; Philippians 2:2; Nehemiah 2:17-18; Hebrews 12:1-3 and Genesis 11:6
  3. Unity is key to running together. If you want to run far – run together, if you want quick, run alone. We are running on the same road. How are you running together in unity as a group to serve others?
  4. How does knowing God loves you make a difference in your life? What does that do for you personally and how does that impact your relationships with others?

Prayer time and Check-out: Share with the group specific actions you will take this week to keep your eyes on Jesus, to run together in unity the race God has set for us to reach others.

Pair of and pray with one another.

Daily Practices to follow:
Memorize Philippians 2:2 (TPT). Read this verse daily, and journal what God is saying to you about your heart and passion for God and others and to keep the unity.

For personal study, here are some suggested YouVersion devotionals:

  • Invite your friends and family to join you for church online at your home
  • You can book a seat for you, your invited friends and family by using this link
