This is a Move! Outwards!
Purpose for the session:
To increase our outward focus towards others who are far from God.
Worship:
Listen to the song “Tear Down the Walls” by Hillsong Worship. Consider what God is saying to you about those who are far from God. Commit to praying for them.
Check-In:
Share one thing that you are aware of that God might be busy with in this time.
Bible readings:
John 4:35 (TPT); Matthew 9:36; Mark 8:22-36; Acts 7:34 (NLT)
Group Discussion:
- John 4:35 (TPT) refers to the harvest being ripe. What do I ‘see’ in my community, workplace, varsity that God sees when He looks at His people?
- Share how your eyes have been opened to those around you in the past week. What one specific thing have you been led to do?
- Read Matthew 9:36. Jesus’ heart is moved with compassion for the lost and the broken. Share what you are asking God to shift in your heart so that you can be moved with compassion for others?
- Jesus heals the blind man in Mark 8:22-36. Twice He spit in the sand and put the mud on his eyes before the man could see. What does breakthrough look like in your life so that you can see others more clearly?
- Share what God has done for you in this time of crisis, as preparation for sharing with others.
Check out and prayer time:
Pray for one another that we would be bold as we seek breakthrough for those we are praying for.
Others:
Continue to pray at 1pm for 1 min (1 one 1) for one person you want to come to know Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how to pray specifically for that person that they may encounter Him. Watch for God-moments to share what He has done for you.
Recommended Reading:
- Read John 9 (full chapter)
Daily Practices to follow:
